Terms of Service

1. Agreement and age

Tale Twisters is a game owned and operated by UORealms LLC. Because Tale Twisters is a UORealms LLC game and service, these Terms supplement and incorporate the UORealms Terms of Service. If the two conflict, these Terms control only for Tale Twisters. By accessing or using Tale Twisters, you agree to both sets of Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Tale Twisters.

You must be at least 13 years old. Anyone under 18 should use Tale Twisters with the permission and involvement of a parent or guardian. Multiplayer games contain words supplied by players and may not be suitable for every audience.

2. Accounts and access

Some Tale Twisters features may be available without an account. Others may require a UORealms account, platform account, or another supported sign in method. You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and secure and for activity conducted through your account.

UORealms may limit, suspend, or end access when reasonably necessary to protect players, Tale Twisters, or UORealms services; respond to abuse or legal requests; or enforce applicable rules.

3. Ownership and limited license

Tale Twisters™, its software, story templates, prompts, artwork, characters, music, sounds, branding, designs, and original written content are owned by UORealms LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Tale Twisters may include media licensed from third parties, including royalty free media obtained through Pixabay. Such media remains subject to its applicable license and may not be extracted or reused except as permitted by that license or its owner. Pixabay and its contributors are not affiliated with or sponsors of Tale Twisters.

AI assisted development transparency

UORealms LLC selectively uses artificial intelligence tools to assist with portions of Tale Twisters' development, testing, and editing. Material released as part of Tale Twisters remains subject to UORealms LLC's direction and review. UORealms LLC remains responsible for the finished game and its content.

UORealms grants you a personal, limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use Tale Twisters for personal entertainment while you follow these Terms. No ownership interest is transferred to you.

4. Words and player content

You are responsible for the words, messages, profile information, feedback, votes, completed stories, and other material you provide. You promise that you have the right to provide it and that it does not violate the law or another person's rights.

You keep any rights you already hold in ordinary player content. You give UORealms LLC a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, transferable, sublicensable, royalty free license to host, copy, edit, adapt, publish, display, perform, distribute, promote, moderate, and otherwise use that content in connection with Tale Twisters and any current or future game, product, service, website, application, platform, community, publication, promotion, or other offering owned, operated, developed, or distributed by UORealms LLC.

Similar words, jokes, ideas, and completed results may occur independently. Supplying words does not give you ownership of a Tale Twisters template, feature, or game.

5. New stories and creative submissions

If you submit a story, story template, prompt set, title, plot, character, artwork, feature idea, or other material for possible use in Tale Twisters or another UORealms service, you assign to UORealms LLC all rights, title, and interest you may have in that submission to the fullest extent allowed by law.

If an assignment is not legally effective, you grant UORealms LLC a perpetual, irrevocable, exclusive, worldwide, transferable, sublicensable, royalty free license to use, change, combine, publish, sell, license, promote, and create related works from the submission in any media. UORealms has no obligation to use, return, keep confidential, credit, or compensate you for a submission.

6. Player conduct

You may not use Tale Twisters to:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, impersonate, exploit, or harm another person.
• Submit unlawful, hateful, abusive, defamatory, infringing, or malicious material.
• Create, request, distribute, or link to pornographic or sexually explicit content.
• Create, request, distribute, or link to any sexualized or exploitative content involving minors.
• Exploit, groom, sexually solicit, endanger, or otherwise harm a minor.
• Request, collect, expose, or share a minor's private identifying, contact, or location information.
• Share or collect another person's private information without permission.
• Disrupt games, evade moderation, cheat, or interfere with the service.
• Upload harmful code, probe security, or seek unauthorized access.
• Violate the UORealms Code of Conduct or applicable law.

UORealms may immediately preserve relevant records, restrict access, and report suspected exploitation or abuse to appropriate authorities when required or permitted by law.

7. Multiplayer, player content, and moderation

Tale Twisters includes user generated content. In multiplayer games, words provided by other players may be offensive or inappropriate. Player discretion is advised. Tale Twisters may not be suitable for all audiences.

Players are encouraged to use the in game reporting tools to report players, words, stories, messages, or other conduct they reasonably believe violates these Terms or otherwise harms Tale Twisters or its community. If an in game reporting tool is unavailable, a report may be submitted through Tale Twisters Support.

Submitting a report does not guarantee removal or a particular outcome. UORealms does not promise to review every word or interaction before it appears, but may review reports, remove content, restrict features, preserve records, or take action against accounts when appropriate.

8. Purchases, content packs, and platform terms

Some versions, content packs, optional features, or virtual items may require payment. Purchases are also governed by the terms shown at checkout and by the rules of the store or platform that processes the purchase. Except where required by law or stated otherwise, purchases are final and nontransferable.

9. Availability, testing, and changes

Tale Twisters will continue to grow. Stories, features, rules, accounts, prices, supported platforms, and availability may change. Testing versions may contain errors or unfinished features. UORealms may update, pause, restrict, or discontinue any part of the service.

10. Third party services

Tale Twisters may connect with UORealms, Steam, Discord, app stores, payment providers, and other services. Those services have their own terms and policies. UORealms is not responsible for a third party service or content it does not control.

11. Disclaimers, liability, and indemnification

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Tale Twisters is provided “as is” and “as available.” UORealms does not promise uninterrupted, secure, error free service or suitability for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, UORealms, its affiliates, licensors, and contractors are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages. UORealms' total liability for a Tale Twisters claim will not exceed the amount you paid to UORealms for Tale Twisters during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

You agree to defend and indemnify UORealms and its affiliates from claims and expenses arising from your content, misuse of Tale Twisters, or violation of these Terms, to the extent allowed by law.

12. Ending access and updating these Terms

You may stop using Tale Twisters at any time. UORealms may restrict or end access for violations, safety or security reasons, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the service.

UORealms may update these Terms by posting a revised version and a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and any dispute arising from or relating to Tale Twisters are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Except for claims eligible for small claims court and requests for injunctive relief to protect intellectual property or prevent unauthorized access, disputes will be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its applicable Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitrator will be neutral and selected according to those rules. Arbitration may take place remotely unless the parties agree otherwise or applicable law or rules require another location. To the fullest extent permitted by law, disputes must proceed individually and not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be reformed only to the extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain effective. UORealms' failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision or any future right. A delay or failure caused by events beyond UORealms' reasonable control will not be considered a breach.
